The PM218S is the standard road-and-track element, cleaned wet when it needs it and refitted bone dry. The honest benefit is a lower starting restriction that stays low, because the medium is regenerated rather than gradually surrendered. For a machine used the way most of these are used — long road sections with the occasional unsurfaced detour — that is the balanced choice.
