Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 06228-30

Dimension A 5 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 27 mm

What It Is

5 mm, 27 mm: that is the whole specification, and it has to match what came out. Öhlins supports its units with individual parts rather than only with complete assemblies. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for every unit, and each position in it has its own number. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced.

Original Öhlins Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 06228-30 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. The published dimensions are dimension a 5 mm, dimension b 27 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for every unit, and each position in it has its own number. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06228-30

Category: Service Parts

Dimension A: 5 mm

Dimension B: 27 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06228-30_64f1b3a6-0458-4d5f-a5e9-6fc5a0a6dfed.png?v=1788875216
