DescriptionThe whole story

The JP ES 026 closes the GSR750's sidestand circuit so the bike runs without the stand.

Key Features

  • Suzuki GSR750 (2011–2016)
  • Bypasses the sidestand safety switch
  • Suppresses the resulting dashboard fault
  • Plug-and-play on the original connector
  • No cutting and no splicing
  • Fully reversible to standard

A Cheap Base

The GSR750 has depreciated further than it deserved, which makes it an unusually good starting point for a track hack or a supermoto conversion.

A Detuned GSX-R Four

One hundred and six horsepower from 749 cc in a steel frame. Suzuki softened the supersport engine and put it somewhere considerably more comfortable.

Why the Stand Goes

Weight, ground clearance and scrutineering. On any bike being prepared for a circuit it is among the earliest removals and the switch goes with it.

The Open Circuit

Read by the ECU as a deployed stand. The engine cuts in gear and nothing else can be commissioned until this is resolved.

Closing It

This unit presents the expected state. The bike starts, runs and reports nothing about a component that is no longer fitted.

Six Model Years

The fitment covers 2011 to 2016 before the GSX-S750 took over. The sidestand wiring is consistent across the run.

Nothing Spliced

Suzuki's own connector. The switch refits with the stand whenever the motorcycle goes back to normal use.

Five Minutes

One plug, no bodywork removal, no tools worth listing. It is the simplest job on the preparation list.

A Road Bike Keeps It

If the stand is still there, leave the switch connected. It prevents a low-speed accident that catches experienced riders regularly.

Underrated at the Time

The GSR750 arrived when naked bikes were fashionable and reviewers were harsh about its lack of electronics. A decade later the absence of rider aids reads as simplicity rather than as a deficiency, and used values still have not caught up.

A Supermoto Base

Builders strip the GSR750 back, fit long travel suspension and seventeen inch wheels, and end up with something considerably more entertaining than the original. Those conversions remove the stand along with everything else that does not earn its weight.
