DescriptionThe whole story▼
Shave 2.0 kg from your Kawasaki ZX-4R's exhaust system the moment you bolt this on. The Akrapovic Slip-On Line Carbon replaces the stock unit with a titanium-core silencer wrapped in a full carbon fibre outer sleeve and carbon end cap, cutting weight from 4.3 kg to just 2.3 kg while adding 1.0 hp at 14,450 rpm and 0.8 Nm of torque at 8,600 rpm — genuine, dyno-backed gains that sharpen the already razor-edged ZX-4R on both road and track.
Key Features
- Weight saving of 2.0 kg over the stock silencer (4.3 kg stock down to 2.3 kg)
- Performance gain of +1.0 hp (70.7 hp stock to 71.7 hp at 14,450 rpm) and +0.8 Nm at 8,600 rpm
- Carbon fibre silencer sleeve and carbon end cap for a lightweight, race-inspired finish
- All metallic internal components — including the core — constructed from titanium
- Direct-fit design for the original header; no modifications required
- Supplied with a dB eater for street use and E-number type approval for road-legal use in Germany and across Europe
Race-Bred Engineering for the Street and Track
Akrapovic built their reputation lap by lap in WorldSBK, MotoGP and the Isle of Man TT, and every element of that racing pedigree feeds into the Slip-On Line Carbon. The titanium internals resist heat fatigue through sustained high-rpm use — exactly the punishment a free-revving inline-four like the ZX-4R dishes out during a track day. The carbon fibre sleeve does more than look the part: it adds structural rigidity at a fraction of the weight of the OEM steel unit, keeping unsprung mass impressively low and preserving the bike's nimble, flickable character.
Road-Legal Without Compromise
The included dB eater and European type-approval E-number mean you can run this exhaust on public roads without the anxiety of a failed roadside check. Remove the dB eater at the circuit entrance and the full Akrapovic soundtrack opens up — an intentional, addictive note that complements the ZX-4R's high-strung character rather than simply amplifying it. The fitment is straightforward: the slip-on mounts to the original header, meaning installation is measured in minutes, not hours.
