DescriptionThe whole story▼
Hyosung's GT650, whether a Comet sports tourer, a naked roadster or a TTC cruiser variant, is often kept on the road all year. For such riders Accossato offers the AGPA79 pad in Sintered (ST), listed for GT650 versions from 2004 to 2017 and catalogued for both front and rear. The sintered mixture concentrates on consistent braking across temperatures and in rain, which makes it the all-weather partner for a GT650 used as everyday transport.
Key Features
- AGPA79 pad in Accossato's Sintered (ST) formula
- For Hyosung GT650 models from 2004 to 2017
- Listed for front and rear
- Constant grip in cold and heat, says Accossato
- Reliable on wet roads
- Pair of pads for one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato explains that its sintered compound keeps a high and even grip level at low and high temperatures and performs well in the wet. On a V-twin that may be ridden to work in the dark and rain and then taken over a pass at the weekend, that range of conditions is exactly what the pad must handle. Long life and heat control against fade are further goals Accossato sets for all its pads.
Wet Commutes and Summer Tours
A GT650 that serves as the family's only motorcycle may carry a passenger on Sunday, a laptop bag on Monday and a loaded top box on a holiday tour. Each of those puts different demands on the brakes. A sintered pad keeps the lever and pedal behaving consistently across them, and it responds quickly when rain covers the disc. After fitting, bed in the new pads with a series of moderate stops, and check the fluid in both reservoirs if you change front and rear together.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA79 for GT650 front and rear brakes from 2004 to 2017, including the GT 650, Comet variants, FI, RFI, S, TTC, X, Custom Trendkiller, I, IR, I Naked and P versions. For certain 2013 to 2015 models, Accossato also lists AGPA105 for the front and AGPP31 for the rear in 2015, so check which pad your GT650 uses by comparing the old ones. OR is the other compound for this pad. One box re-pads one caliper.
Road Approval
We do not hold test documents or a German ABE for this pad and therefore sell it for track and competition use.
