DescriptionThe whole story▼

Owners of the MV Agusta Rush 1000 tend to enjoy fast roads, and a few of them take the four-cylinder dragster to an open track day to feel what the chassis can do. For that mix Accossato lists the AGPA106 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA106EV1, for the Rush 1000 from 2020 to 2025. It suits a rider who spends most miles on country roads but wants a pad that will not feel out of its depth when the bike is let off the leash on a circuit.

Key Features

  • AGPA106EV1 front pad set for the MV Agusta Rush 1000
  • Catalogue years 2020 to 2025
  • EV1 street/track mixture for road and amateur circuit use
  • Accossato promises very good grip in both settings
  • A good match for a fast road rider's first track outing
  • Plate also sold as ST, EV2 and ZXC
  • Sold for competition use; no German approval held

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 as giving excellent grip for street riding and for amateur track use. That covers the typical life of a Rush 1000 that is used with enthusiasm: brisk road rides through the season, with the occasional track day where the brakes work much harder for twenty minutes at a time. As with its other pads, Accossato stresses slow wear, strong stopping and a design that keeps heat, and therefore fade, in check. The EV1 layer is bonded to the AGPA106 backing plate.

Letting the Rush Stretch Its Legs

A four-cylinder naked with this kind of engine arrives at the end of a straight far faster than the rider expects the first time out. On a track day that means stopping hard, several times a lap, with barely a breather. On the ride home it means gentle stops at cold junctions. A street and track mixture is designed for both ends of that day.

Bed new pads in on the road before the event with a series of firm, progressive stops. At the track, check the fluid level between sessions and let the brakes cool on the in-lap instead of parking the bike with hot discs and the lever held.

Fitment and Compatibility

In Accossato's catalogue, AGPA106 is the front pad for the MV Agusta Rush 1000 built from 2020 to 2025. The rear pad AGPA42 is listed only for 2020, under the Rush 1000 RR name, and there is no Accossato disc for this model. Two front calipers mean two boxes for a full front set.

Road Approval

Our records hold no ABE or German approval mark for AGPA106EV1; the set is therefore offered for racing and competition purposes.

Scope of Delivery

Two EV1 street/track pads for one front caliper, in a single box.
