DescriptionThe whole story▼
Full titanium construction, race-developed engineering and an adjustable internal baffling system — the Austin Racing GP1R/GP2R/V3 slip-on paired with the de-cat replacement pipe is one of the most precisely built exhaust upgrades available for the BMW S1000RR K67 (2019-2026). Every component reflects the uncompromising standards Austin Racing applies to their British-made race exhausts, from the hand-welded titanium header section through to the choice of carbon-sleeved or full titanium silencers.
Key Features
- 100% titanium and carbon construction — every gram counts, and this system delivers a substantial reduction in unsprung and overall weight for measurably sharper handling.
- De-cat replacement pipe removes the catalytic converter entirely, freeing the exhaust flow path and unlocking the full performance potential of the engine.
- Adjustable internal baffling technology allows sound output to be tuned across a range from 98 dB to over 110 dB — adapt the note to circuit requirements without swapping components.
- Three silencer families (GP1R, GP2R/GP2, V3) covering outlet diameters from 60 mm to 250 mm, each available in a distinct material and finish combination.
- Three logo finish options — standard sticker, laser engraved, or colour laser engraved — so the aesthetic matches the installation.
- Compatible with stock passenger footpeg hangers, making installation clean and straightforward without fabrication work to the subframe.
Build Quality and Materials
Austin Racing builds this system in England to the tolerances demanded by professional racing teams. The header is fabricated entirely from titanium, chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to the thermal cycling that destroys lesser materials over a race season. The GP1R silencer pairs a 60 mm outlet with a titanium or black ceramic finish body; the GP2R and GP2 silencers use a carbon sleeve around a 110 mm and 200 mm outlet respectively; and the V3 is available in 150 mm, 200 mm, or 250 mm outlet sizes finished in either black ceramic or titanium. Every weld, bracket and mounting point is built to withstand continuous high-RPM track use — this is not a road-going cosmetic upgrade dressed up as a race part.
Sound Output and dB Values
All figures tested at 5,500 RPM:
- GP1R: 103 dB (with baffle) / 106 dB (without baffle)
- GP2R: 103 dB (with baffle) / 106 dB (without baffle)
- GP2: 101 dB (with baffle) / 103 dB (without baffle)
- V3: 98 dB (with baffle) / 100 dB (without baffle)
The internal baffling system allows the overall range to be adjusted from 98 dB up to over 110 dB, giving the rider flexibility across circuits with different sound regulations.
ECU Tuning and Performance Optimisation
To extract the full performance benefit of the de-cat system and optimised exhaust flow, an ECU remap or Power Commander (PCV) fuelling correction is strongly recommended. The system installs on a plug-and-play basis for immediate use, but a race mapping session will deliver the torque and power delivery improvements the hardware is capable of producing.
Installation note: fitting this system requires cutting the original exhaust assembly. A servo eliminator (servo-plug) is also required to prevent electronic fault codes from the exhaust valve servo motor.
This system is intended exclusively for closed-circuit track use and is not approved for use on public roads.
