DescriptionThe whole story▼

An F800GS rarely stays clean. The travel enduro of the middleweight family is used on gravel forest roads and wet spring tarmac in the same afternoon, which means the front discs are often running with a film of water and a fine coating of whatever the last track threw at them. Accossato's Sintered (ST) filling of the AGPA92 pad is meant for exactly that mixture of surfaces and weather, and it is listed for the BMW F800GS from 2008 to 2018.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) front pads, article number AGPA92ST, BMW F800GS
  • Model years 2008 to 2018, front wheel
  • Accossato promises a high and constant level of grip, cold as well as hot
  • Keeps its bite with water on the disc
  • Two pads per box, one box per front caliper
  • The same outline also exists in a gentle Organic (OR) material
  • Rear wheel of this bike: the AGPP91 pad, 2008 to 2018
  • No approval documents in our files; supplied for competition

Construction and Material Quality

Sintered material is the answer Accossato gives riders who do not get to pick their conditions. The property the company puts first is constancy: the grip a rider feels through the lever is meant to be the same at the start of a cold morning and after an hour of work, and a wet friction ring is not supposed to take it away. Limited heat build-up supports that, since a pad that stays cooler is a pad whose behaviour does not drift. For a bike that alternates between loose surfaces and fast roads, a brake that reacts the same way every time is worth more than one that reacts violently. The box holds the pair one caliper needs.

When the Road Is Wet and Dirty

Coming off a gravel track onto tarmac, the front brake carries a passenger it did not have at the start of the ride. Dust and fine grit sit on the friction ring, the first rain turns the mixture into a paste, and both surfaces polish each other until the film is gone. That is normal for an F800GS and easy to live with, provided you expect it: allow the first application after a dirty section to be a firm sweep rather than a delicate touch, and give yourself room while it happens. Back at home, a rinse with plain water does more for a brake than any product, and a look at the discs now and then will show whether grit has begun cutting grooves rather than simply passing through. Grooves that catch a fingernail are a sign to inspect more closely.

Fitment and Compatibility

The application list covers the front wheel of the BMW F800GS from 2008 to 2018 with the AGPA92 pad. Each box supplies one caliper, so count the calipers your bike carries at the front rather than guessing from the model name. Accossato also builds the AGPP91 for the rear of the F800GS across those same years, while a mild material in the same front outline is there for owners who keep to sealed roads. There is no Accossato brake disc in the programme for this model.

Road Approval

Neither a German ABE nor a test certificate exists for the AGPA92ST in our records. The pad is therefore offered for track and competition riding only.

Scope of Delivery

One box of two AGPA92 pads in the Sintered (ST) compound, filling a single front caliper.
