Materials and Construction
LighTech moulds the outer shell of the WAPAP403 in nylon because it gives before it breaks. Inside sits a machined Ergal insert — the same alloy family LighTech uses for load-bearing parts. Replacing the insert costs a fraction of the kit, which is how it is meant to work.
The Idea Behind It
What makes an axle slider work on a RSV4 1100 Factory is that it touches down before anything structural. Splitting the job between two materials is what lets the WAPAP403 be both tough and light. A scuffed WAPAP403 is renewed at the insert, not at the kit, which is the point.
