Built for Asian Markets
Ducati produced the 795 primarily for Thailand and neighbouring markets, combining the 796 engine with a lower seat and simpler equipment.
Answered, Not Bridged
The unit presents the state the controller expects. A length of wire across the terminals presents something else and frequently earns its own warning.
Nothing Coded
No dealer session, no reset and no adaptation run. The circuit reads correctly from the first ignition cycle and the panel shows nothing at all.
The Complete Diagnosis
Before ordering anything, check whether the stand is straight, whether the mechanism is packed and whether the connector is corroded. Two of those cost nothing to fix and one usually works.
Refit Before an Inspection
Where the interlock forms part of a roadworthiness check, the standard switch goes back in five minutes with nothing needing replacement.
After a Fall
A drop on the left lands on the stand, and a bent bracket puts the switch out of position even when the switch itself is fine.
What the Eliminator Presents
The state the controller reads as a retracted stand, in a potted body carrying Ducati's own connector. There is nothing to configure, nothing to power and nothing that can drift, because it is a passive part doing a passive job.
What Comes Off With the Stand
The stand itself, the bracket that carries it, the spring and the switch with its wiring. On most models that is close to a kilogramme in a place where the mass is genuinely unhelpful, which is the reason racing machines have never carried any of it.
