DescriptionThe whole story▼
Everything the ZX-6R needs to stop being a road bike: the cowl, both flanks with their outer covers, the belly pan, the two-piece race seat and the brackets that carry all of it. Nine parts in one order rather than nine decisions over a winter.
Key Features
- Upper race fairing CK27210 and belly pan CK27220
- Both side panels, CK27231 and CK27232, with their cover panels CK27236 and CK27238
- Two-piece race seat CK27300
- Side panel brackets IN2701K and the right-hand lower bracket IN2702K
- Carbon throughout, prepreg inner skins, autoclave cured and unlacquered
The Covers Are Part of the Kit for a Reason
Each flank on this bike is two parts: a structural side panel and a separate cover over its outer face. The cover is what meets the ground, and it costs roughly half what the panel does. A kit without them would leave the expensive mouldings doing the job the cheap ones exist for, so both are included — and the sensible spares policy that follows is to hold covers rather than flanks.
Two Pieces at the Back
The race seat comes as two mouldings rather than one. That makes it easier to work around a subframe designed for a road bike, and it means a kerb strike on the way to the gravel usually costs the smaller section rather than the whole tail. It also means one more joint to keep tight and one more surface a painter has to match, so send both halves to the paint shop together.
Plan the Instrument
Removing the standard nose leaves the 2024 model's 4.3-inch TFT dash without anything to mount to. That is not part of this kit and it is the thing most often discovered too late. Sort the dash mounting while the bodywork is on order rather than when it arrives.
Fitment
For the Kawasaki ZX-6R 636, 2024 to 2026.
