DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound is aimed at racers who want a further choice when setting up the front brake of a competition bike. This set fits the front caliper of the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750 from 2017 to 2020. It is a circuit-only pad, intended for teams and riders who like to test different brake characters in practice before choosing what to race on.

Key Features

  • ZXC ceramic racing front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750
  • For model years 2017 to 2020
  • Accossato: a ceramic compound ideal for racing
  • An additional option for brake set-up
  • Controlled heating to limit fade
  • Two pads per box, one caliper
  • Rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 listed

Construction and Material Quality

ZXC is the ceramic-based racing mixture in Accossato's range, offered by the company founded at Moncalieri in 1969. It is meant for competition, as an alternative feel alongside the firm's other race compounds. As with its other pads, the design goals are consistent grip, heat under control and a long working life.

Set-Up Sessions on the Racer

Race engineers often describe brake feel in terms of bite, build-up and release. A ceramic pad can change any of these, and on a V7 III Racer that relies heavily on corner speed, the release as you trail off the brake is especially important. Use a practice session to run the ZXC set, keep tyres and suspension unchanged, and compare lap times and your own impressions with your usual pads. Only then decide which compound goes in for the race.

Swapping Between Sessions

Let the caliper cool, remove the pads, clean the pistons with brake cleaner before pushing them back and fit the new set. Pump the lever until it is firm and do an out lap with several progressive stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the front brake of the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750 from 2017 to 2020. Accossato lists the V7 III 750 Racer across a wider range of years, but this product is listed for 2017 to 2020. One box equips one caliper; check how many front calipers are fitted. OR, ST, EV1 and EV2 are the other versions of this pad. At the rear, Accossato lists AGPA28; disc DKS032 is listed for this bike.

Road Approval

We hold no German ABE or test documentation for these pads. They are intended for racing and competition.

Scope of Delivery

Two ZXC ceramic pads, one caliper set, in one box.
