DescriptionThe whole story▼

The CY035 shares its 19 mm piston and 20 mm pivot with the CY029, a geometry that shortens the lever stroke needed for full braking force while asking more of the rider's hand, and which Accossato does not recommend for street riding. Where the CY029 uses a rigid lever, the CY035 fits a folding one, and this listing covers the natural anodised body. This folding-lever CY035 sits alongside the fixed-lever CY029 in Accossato's 20 mm range, both built around the same 19 mm dual-disc piston.

Key Features

  • 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
  • 20 mm lever pivot, quick stroke, not recommended for street use
  • Folding lever in black
  • Natural anodised aluminium body, left in its machined finish
  • CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
  • Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals in Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This body is CNC-machined from aluminium and left natural anodised, with a folding lever fitted rather than a rigid one. Stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals make up the rest of the specification, matching the rest of Accossato's unplated range. An offset riser resists body flex under hard braking, and the bore is shaped to cut the lever's passive travel by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.

A Folding Lever on a Track-Biased Pivot

The 20 mm pivot gives this cylinder a shorter stroke than the more common 18 mm distance, trading away some of the ease of pull that makes the 18 mm version suitable for everyday street riding. On this natural-finish CY035, the long lever is fitted with a relieving eyelet (RST) while the short lever is supplied without one (NRST), a point to check if that detail matters. Buyers choose the lever length at checkout, long with the eyelet or short without, while the 20 mm pivot stays the same either way.

Fitment and Compatibility

65 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY035, matching Accossato's other sportbike-oriented 19 mm cylinders, including the Aprilia RSV4 1100, BMW HP4, Ducati Diavel, Kawasaki Z1000R Edition and Honda CBR1000RR; the Fitment tab lists the full range with model years. The same 19x20 folding-lever cylinder is also sold separately with a nickel-plated body. Riders used to the 18 mm folding-lever CY021 should note that this 20 mm version needs a firmer pull for the same braking force.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 19x20 radial brake master cylinder with the folding lever in black, long with a relieving eyelet (RST) or short without one (NRST), in the natural anodised body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
