DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ACS 060 is the unmarked throttle housing for the 821-generation Hypermotard, machined from Ergal and anodised black.
Key Features
- Ducati Hypermotard 821 (2013–2016)
- Throttle housing without switch block
- No maker's mark on the visible face
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Black anodised
- Machined throttle tube bore
No Logo on the Face
JetPrime offers this body with and without its own mark engraved. The plain version is for owners who want a machined component that reads as though it left the factory that way.
The End of Air Cooling
Ducati replaced the Hypermotard's 1100 air-cooled twin with the liquid-cooled 821 in 2013. Purists mourned the noise and everybody else noticed that the new bike was faster everywhere.
A Hundred and Ten Horsepower
From 821 cc with eleven degrees of valve overlap. The reduced overlap is what made a racing-derived engine behave properly at the low revs a supermoto actually uses.
Housing Only
The switch block is untouched by this part. It replaces the throttle assembly, which is the appropriate purchase when the switchgear is still doing its job.
Continuous Throttle Work
Supermoto riding is a running conversation with the right wrist. A bore that is cut rather than moulded keeps those inputs precise for years rather than seasons.
Black Anodised
Converted into the aluminium. The Hypermotard's bar is completely exposed and there is no coating here to lift from an edge.
Ergal 7075
An aerospace grade at roughly twice the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. On a supermoto that will be dropped, the material is chosen for that rather than for the photograph.
Three Riding Modes
Sport, Touring and Urban, the last dropping output to 75 horsepower. On a motorcycle this abrupt in Sport, the softer maps are used more than owners like to admit.
A Format With No Rivals
Nobody else has built a large-capacity supermoto with this level of finish and kept doing it. Ducati has been at it since 2007 and the category is still effectively empty.
