DescriptionThe whole story▼
For a CBR1000RR-R running an I2M dashboard, the JP SPS 003 is the sport left switch, milled from Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- Honda CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade (2020–2026)
- Requires an I2M dashboard
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Racing loom required
- Sport control set
The Club-Level Data System
I2M's Chrome dashboards sit between a lap timer and a professional logger: GPS timing, real data recording and a readable display, at a price a privateer can justify without a sponsor. They turn up on national-level machines and on well-prepared track bikes that are never raced.
An Expensive Bike, a Sensible Dashboard
There is no contradiction in fitting a mid-priced data system to a 217 hp Fireblade. The motorcycle's cost is in its engine and chassis; what the rider needs from the cockpit is lap times and suspension traces, and I2M supplies both without the complexity of a professional installation.
The Sport Control Set
Fewer functions than a road cluster, more than a fully stripped superbike one. It suits a bike used at track days rather than in a championship, where the owner wants a clean cockpit and a data display but has not removed every trace of the road equipment.
Racing Loom Required
Like every switch built around an aftermarket dashboard, this one needs a racing harness. Honda's standard wiring will not drive it, and the dashboard has to be fitted and configured before the switch has anything to communicate with.
A Cross-Model Part Number
JP SPS 003 appears across several manufacturers, because it is defined by the I2M interface rather than by any one motorcycle. That is unusual in this catalogue and worth knowing: the fitment lists say which bikes the wiring has been verified against.
Sport, Not Superbike
The control set here sits between the road cluster and the fully stripped superbike arrangement. It suits a machine used at track days rather than in a championship, where the rider wants data and a clean cockpit without removing every last piece of road equipment.
