DescriptionThe whole story▼
For 2019 Ducati introduced a new generation of its supermoto-styled road bike, the Hypermotard 950, and many owners start personalising a bike like this in its first season. Small parts close to the rider's eye are often the first to change, and the footpegs are among them: you see them every time you swing a leg over. Accossato offers its FT102 touring footpegs for the Hypermotard 950 of 2019, machined from aluminium on CNC equipment, anodised black with a red insert and notched for a firmer grip of the boot.
Key Features
- Touring footpegs for the Ducati Hypermotard 950, model year 2019
- Machined from aluminium on CNC equipment
- Black anodising with a red insert
- Notch for better boot grip
- Front and rear sets sold separately
- Replace the original footpegs
- No German ABE on record; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the FT102 from aluminium on CNC machines, a process that leaves clean, precise surfaces, and finishes it in black anodising with a red insert. On the Hypermotard 950 the black keeps the pegs understated, while the red repeats Ducati's signature colour in a small dose. Anodised colour is part of the metal's surface layer, so over the years it wears only where boots rub it instead of chipping like paint. The notch is there for function rather than looks: it gives the sole of your boot a hold that a smooth peg cannot offer.
Choosing Parts That Belong Together
The Hypermotard 950 has a busy side view: trellis frame, exhaust, swingarm, engine cases and footpeg hangers crowd into a small area. Parts added later look right when they follow the colours already there. The black anodising of the FT102 blends with the black parts of the bike, and the red insert repeats Ducati's colour instead of introducing a new one. If your 950 already carries black-and-red accessories, the pegs will sit comfortably among them. If you prefer a completely neutral look, bear in mind that the red insert is part of the design and comes with every FT102. It is also worth thinking about which set to order first. The front footpegs are the ones you use and see on every ride; the rear set carries the passenger and completes the look. Because Accossato sells them separately, you can fit the front pegs first and add the rear set later if you like the result.
Fitment and Compatibility
On Accossato's list the FT102 fits the Hypermotard 950 of 2019, in the standard version and the version for the US market. Compared with a complete rearset, fitting footpegs is a small job, but it is still one for a workshop, which should use Ducati's specified torque, apply thread locker as the manual describes and make sure the gear lever and brake pedal remain easy to reach with the new pegs.
Road Approval
We know of no German ABE and no parts certificate for the FT102, which is why we list it for track use. If your Hypermotard 950 is ridden on German roads, its original footpegs are the approved ones.
