DescriptionThe whole story▼
For a rider getting to grips with motocross on a Kawasaki KX250F, the rear brake is one of the first tools to master, helping the bike turn in ruts and control speed down steep faces. Accossato's AGPP106 rear pad in Organic mixture fits the KX250F from 2004 to 2018 and in 2020. It is aimed at practice riders and hobbyists who want a gentle, easy-to-modulate rear brake that keeps disc wear low.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPP106 for the Kawasaki KX250F, 2004 to 2018 and 2020
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPP106OR
- Accossato cites long life and limited disc wear
- Gentle pedal for learning rear-brake technique
- Suited to practice sessions
- Front pad: AGPA51
- Plate also made as ST and STMX
- No ABE held by us; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
What the Turin company says about its Organic recipe comes down to endurance and respect for the rotor: the pad keeps doing its job for a long time and scrubs away little of the disc. A weekend motocross rider who pays for parts out of pocket will appreciate both. Accossato further states that heat stays in check, so the pedal does not fade, and that stopping power remains high. For the KX250F rear caliper, the friction block comes on the AGPP106 plate.
Learning to Use the Rear
Motocross coaches teach riders to use the rear brake to help the bike turn and to settle it on the approach to a corner. It takes practice to learn how hard to press without locking the wheel. A soft, progressive rear pad on the KX250F makes that learning process easier, because the pedal response stays proportional.
Practice riders often ride the same track every weekend, which makes it easy to notice changes in brake feel. If the pedal becomes spongy or the bike drags when pushed, check the pads and piston before the next session.
Wash the bike after every outing, rinse the rear caliper and keep chain lube off the disc. Check pad depth whenever the chain is adjusted.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP106 for the rear brake of the Kawasaki KX250F for model years 2004 to 2018 and 2020. Model year 2019 is not listed for this pad in our data, so owners of a 2019 bike should compare the old pads with the new set before ordering. The front pad is AGPA51, and Accossato also lists the DK060 disc. The box covers the single rear caliper.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German test certificate for AGPP106OR in our hands. The pads are sold for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
