The Naked RSV4, Updated
Aprilia reworked the Tuono alongside the RSV4 for 2021 with revised aerodynamics, a new frame and updated electronics. The V4 remains the reason to buy one and nothing else in the hyper-naked class sounds remotely similar.
Winglets on a Naked Bike
The current Tuono carries aerodynamic devices integrated into its front bodywork. On a motorcycle with no fairing to speak of, that is an unusual decision and it works at the speeds this engine reaches.
Öhlins Semi-Active
The Factory specification brings electronically managed suspension that adjusts from the inertial platform. On a naked bike with 175 hp and a short wheelbase, the load moves between the wheels faster than any static setting could accommodate.
One Component for Two Jobs
The right-hand controls are inside the throttle assembly, so replacement covers both. This unit does that from a single billet of Ergal 7075 using Aprilia's own connector.
The Hands Take the Wind
With minimal bodywork the rider's hands are pushed back at any real speed, and reaching for a control becomes a deliberate movement against pressure rather than an idle one. The assembly needs to feel solid under that.
Four Anodised Finishes
Black, blue, red and titanium, converted into the surface. On a Factory carrying gold suspension, titanium sits closest without attempting to match it.
Sealed and Milled
Cut from one billet with sealed switch elements. There is no clipped cover to develop play under a V4's vibration and no seam for rain to find on a bike with no protection at all.
