DescriptionThe whole story▼
For a 2024 CBR 600 RR with a MECTRONIK dashboard, the JP SPS 006 JST is the left-hand superbike switch, terminated with a JST connector.
Key Features
- Honda CBR 600 RR (2024–2026)
- Requires a MECTRONIK dashboard
- JST connector termination
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Racing loom required
MECTRONIK and the Italian Paddock
MECTRONIK builds engine management and data systems that turn up throughout Italian national racing and in a good number of European teams. Its dashboards define their own switch behaviour, which is why a Honda fitted with one needs switchgear built for MECTRONIK rather than for Honda.
What the JST Suffix Means
The part number names its connector. JST is the termination the MECTRONIK loom expects, and it is a different plug from the one on the HRC or MoTeC versions of the same switch. Ordering by dashboard brand alone is not sufficient here; the connector has to match the harness in the bike.
Three Ways to Wire One Motorcycle
JetPrime lists the 2024 600 RR with switches for HRC, MECTRONIK and the standard loom, and they are not interchangeable. Establishing which system is actually installed before ordering saves a return, and on a racing bike the answer is rarely visible from the outside.
Superbike Control Set
The road functions are gone and what remains is mapped by the dashboard: page selection, mapping, lap marker, whatever the configuration assigns. Which button does what is decided in software, so the hardware's job is to deliver clean contacts and an unmistakable detent.
Sealed and Milled
One block of Ergal 7075 with sealed switch elements. The paddock environment, hot washing followed by damp storage, is harder on switchgear than any amount of riding, and the construction here is aimed at that rather than at mileage.
