For the F4, the JP PD MV002 replaces the right-hand switch with a body machined from Ergal 7075 on a universal clamp pattern.

A Design Exhibited in a Museum
Massimo Tamburini drew the F4 after the Ducati 916, and the Guggenheim has shown one as an example of industrial design. Twenty-five years later it still looks contemporary, which is a claim almost nothing else from the period can make.
Radial Valves and High Revs
The four-cylinder engine arranges its valves radially rather than in the conventional pattern, an idea developed during the period Cagiva's relationships reached into Ferrari. It is complicated, expensive to maintain and produces a noise owners consider adequate compensation.
The Component That Was Not Drawn
Everything visible on an F4 was designed as part of the motorcycle: the mirrors, the instruments, the exhausts. The switch housing was selected rather than drawn, and once that has been noticed it is difficult to stop noticing.
Space Behind the Fairing
Tamburini shaped the bodywork for aerodynamics rather than for access, and there is very little room around the clip-ons. A compact machined body takes less of that space than a moulded assembly with a cover clipped over it.
Universal Clamp Pattern
The plate accepts both master cylinder geometries. F4s of this age have frequently had their brakes revised, and a used example's modification history is rarely fully documented.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, red and titanium, all converted into the surface rather than laid on top. On a red and silver F4 the red option is a continuation; on a black one it would be the only colour in the cockpit.
Reversible
The standard assembly refits at any point using the same connector. On a motorcycle valued substantially for its originality, being able to put everything back is what makes the change worth considering.
