The RSV4 RR carried the same engine as the RF on different suspension. The JP PD AP009 gives it a milled right-hand switch block.

Sachs Instead of Öhlins
The RR used Sachs units front and rear where the RF had Öhlins, and cast wheels rather than forged. The engine, frame and electronics were identical, which made it the more sensible of the two purchases.
APRC as Standard
Traction control with eight levels, wheelie control, launch control and a bidirectional quickshifter. Aprilia had this package in production years before most rivals, developed on a bike that was winning world championships at the time.
A Frame Built Around the Engine
The aluminium twin spar wraps a V4 that is unusually short, which gave Aprilia freedom with wheelbase and weight distribution that a longer inline four would not have allowed. The result handles like a smaller motorcycle.
Universal Hole Spacing
One clamp pattern covers the original master cylinder and the aftermarket radial units. It removes the most common ordering mistake with switchgear, which is buying for the wrong brake assembly.
Where the Original Fails
Not the button but the contact behind it, after moisture has worked past a snap-fit cover. The failure is intermittent for months before it becomes permanent, and Aprilia's remedy is the complete assembly.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium anodised through the surface. On an RR in Aprilia's own colours, black keeps the bar quiet and titanium picks up the fork tops without pretending to be gold.
The Original Connector
Pre-wired to Aprilia's plug. The swap is mechanical rather than electrical, which is the difference between an afternoon and a weekend when the bike has to be ridden on Sunday.
