The JP PD AP009 replaces the right-hand switch block on the first-generation RSV4 with a milled Ergal unit on a universal clamp pattern.

A V4 Nobody Else Was Building
When the RSV4 arrived in 2009 the litre superbike class was inline fours and one twin. Aprilia built a 65 degree V4 of 999.6 cc, narrow enough to package like a twin and loud in a way none of its rivals could imitate.
Sixty-Five Degrees, Not Ninety
The narrow vee keeps the engine short front to back, which let Aprilia put the crankshaft where the chassis wanted it rather than where the engine demanded. It also produces the firing interval that gives the bike its voice.
Universal Holes
The clamp pattern accepts both the original master cylinder and the common aftermarket radial units. Riders who have already fitted a Brembo RCS do not need a second part number, which is the entire point of the arrangement.
What the Standard Switch Is
Moulded plastic with a printed legend and contacts that live behind a snap-fit cover. It works for years and then develops one intermittent function, at which point Aprilia sells the complete assembly and not the button.
Milled Rather Than Moulded
This one is cut from a single block of Ergal 7075 with the switch elements sealed inside. There is no seam for water to enter and no clip to lose tension after a decade of vibration from a V4.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, red and titanium, all converted into the aluminium rather than sprayed onto it. A dropped bike scuffs the surface rather than revealing bright metal through a chipped coating.
No Wiring Work
The loom terminates in Aprilia's own connector. The old block unplugs, the new one plugs in, and there is nothing to splice, solder or clear from the dashboard afterwards.
