The JP ACC KT016 changes how far the 1290 Super Adventure's grip has to turn and nothing else, which is a smaller claim than most cockpit parts make and an easier one to keep.

The Full Size Tourer
KTM stretched the LC8 to 1301 cc and built the most powerful adventure bike anybody sold. It is a machine ridden with the throttle open across long distances.
The Original Refits
Everything comes off the bar the way it went on, and the standard assembly goes back with the same reset procedure. Nothing about the change is permanent.
Water
The assembly lives outdoors and is built for that. Nothing about the change makes the switchgear or the connector any more exposed than it was.
Fault Codes Without the Reset
The controller compares what it reads against what it stored and reports a throttle position fault. It is not a subtle failure and it appears immediately.
Storage
The standard assembly is plastic and will not corrode, but the connector will. A bag and a dry shelf are the whole of the requirement.
Adventure Bikes
The tall models in this list spend time on gravel, and a sensitive throttle standing on the pegs is a different proposition from a sensitive throttle on a circuit.
The Part Nobody Reads About
The reset. It appears in one line of the manufacturer's own description and it is the single most important sentence in it.
From Cable to Measurement
The change arrived quietly across fifteen years, driven by legislation that needed the engine able to disagree with the rider. Once the link was electronic the grip stopped being a mechanism. Everything about this part follows from that, including why it needs teaching.
At a Circuit
Nothing here troubles a technical inspection. The assembly looks standard, sits where the standard one sat and operates the way a throttle is expected to operate. The only paperwork it generates is the invoice.
