The JP CJP 082H gives the Panigale 1199 R complete management of its fuel map, adjusted on a laptop rather than shipped with a curve somebody else worked out.

Titanium and a Higher Ceiling
The R revs further than the standard 1199 and carries a race map in the crate. Ducati assumed the owner would change the exhaust before the first track day.
Small Steps
Two or three percent at a time in the cells being worked on. Large jumps produce an engine that surges between operating points and tell the mapper nothing useful.
Resolution Matters
A map with too few cells forces the unit to interpolate across large gaps, and the engine feels it. Enough resolution is what makes small, local corrections possible at all.
Nothing Is Subscribed
The software is not rented and the maps are not locked to an account. That sounds unremarkable until you compare it with what some manufacturers now do.
A Realistic Timeline
An evening to fit and understand, a day to produce something usable, a season to refine it. That is what buying a blank map commits an owner to.
An Afternoon to Fit
Connectors, a position, cable ties. The mechanical work is the same as for the preset module and it is the least demanding part of owning this unit.
Buying Second Hand
The unit transfers between identical motorcycles because nothing in it belongs to one machine. The harness is the part that has to match, not the box.
A Second Set of Injectors
Not something this unit supports. It manages the standard injectors, and anybody needing more fuel capacity is beyond what a piggyback controller does.
Not a Substitute for Mechanical Work
Worn guides, a tired chain, a blocked filter or a leaking inlet rubber all produce symptoms a map cannot fix. Adding fuel over a mechanical fault delays the repair and disguises the cause.
