A Two-Minute Job in the Middle of a Two-Hour One
The eliminator itself takes almost no time. What takes the time is reaching the connector, which is why nobody should be doing this as a standalone task on a Saturday afternoon.
The Hose Above the Engine
It runs from the airbox forward and down to the head, and it is the visible half of the arrangement. Once both eliminators are fitted it comes out and the top of the engine looks considerably better.
Keeping the Loom Original
Nothing is cut, crimped or soldered. On a motorcycle that will be diagnosed by somebody else eventually, an untouched harness is worth considerably more than the small saving an improvised solution offers.
The Emissions Test It Serves
A drive cycle measured at the pipe, where residue burnt in the header never appears as an emission. It is legitimate and it is entirely artificial.
