The Valve and Its Circuit
An electrically opened path into the exhaust ports, monitored continuously by the controller. The air is harmless; the monitoring is what prevents a simple removal.
An Open Circuit Reads as Failure
Winding continuity is checked at every ignition cycle. The controller has no way of distinguishing deletion from a broken connector.
Answering Properly
The eliminator returns the expected impedance, so the display stays clear and no dealer session is needed to clear anything.
An Electronic Ride Height Adjuster
Aprilia offers a system that lowers the bike at a standstill and raises it under way. It came from the racing department and almost nothing else on sale has one.
