A Commemorative Bike That Gets Ridden
MV's limited editions are bought by motorcyclists rather than investors more often than not, and the Ago is no exception. That is why a modification like this one comes up at all on a numbered machine with a signature on the tank.
Reversibility First
The unit clamps to the bar and plugs into MV's own connector. Refitting the standard throttle assembly returns the motorcycle to factory condition with no trace in the wiring, which is the condition under which any change to an Ago is considered.
Why Shorten the Action
The F3 triple revs to fourteen thousand and rewards being kept in its upper range. A long throttle travel means more wrist movement between corners than the engine's responses justify, and reducing it is felt immediately.
Where the Switch Goes
Onto its own bar clamp, positioned by the rider. The standard cluster is part of the throttle assembly and cannot stay, so this is not an optional accessory but a requirement of the conversion.
Sealed Elements
Military-specification contacts inside a body milled from one block. An Ago used on circuits meets hot washing and damp storage, and the sealing is what determines whether the controls behave identically session after session.
Thirteen Titles
Agostini won thirteen world championships for MV Agusta between 1966 and 1973. The edition exists to reference that, and the numbered plaque on the yoke is the reason owners are careful about what they change.
One Finish
Titanium anodised. Against the Ago's red and silver livery it stays quiet, which on a motorcycle whose paint scheme is the entire point is clearly the right decision.
