The MT-07 is shifted constantly, in city traffic, on country roads and, in the hands of some owners, during wheelies. The Gilles Shiftholder for the Yamaha MT-07 of 2014 to 2025 supports the shift shaft where it leaves the engine and comes with its own pinion cover.

A complete kit
The Shiftholder comes with its own pinion cover and is mounted with the motorcycle's original bolts. No extra fasteners are needed, and the job is done with basic tools.
Stunts and hard shifting
Riders who practise wheelies or ride aggressively shift with force, often in quick sequences. Those forces are exactly what bends an unsupported shift shaft. With the second support point, the MT-07's gear change stays positive even under hard use, and the included pinion cover gives the area a finished look.
Road Approval
No paperwork applies here. Because the Shiftholder only stabilises the shift shaft of the Yamaha MT-07 and does not alter the controls or any other approved part of the bike, it needs neither an approval document nor an inspection.

The kit contains the Shiftholder and the parts needed to mount it, plus the fitting instructions. Pinion cover included; the original bolts are reused.
