The Accossato Ready To Brake 19x19 pairs the largest piston in the Ready To Brake range with a pivot distance Accossato rates for mixed track and street use, aimed at dual-disc sportbikes and superbikes that need enough fluid displacement to apply two front callipers evenly. The shark-shaped body hides an integrated micro-switch for the brake light and a quick-release jumper in the fixing riser, and the folding lever comes in seven colours. Construction and Material Quality
This master cylinder is produced in Italy on CNC machinery from an aluminium block, finished to the same standard as every Ready To Brake unit. Stainless mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed nipple and Formula 1 compound seals make up the specification, selected to tolerate the heat and fluid contact that come with hard braking on a dual-disc sportbike. The fixing riser carries an offset that resists flex when both callipers are applying load through the system, plus a quick-release jumper that allows the unit to be lifted off its clamp for servicing without disturbing the hose connection.
Sizing a Pump for Dual-Disc Braking
Two front callipers need more fluid moved per lever stroke than a single disc does, which is why Accossato specifies the 19 mm piston, the largest in the Ready To Brake range, for dual-disc systems rather than the 14 or 16 mm versions aimed at scooters and single-disc machines. The 19 mm pivot distance used here is described as suited to mixed track and street use, meaning it neither demands the firmest possible lever pull nor gives an unusually light, vague action, a compromise that suits sportbikes and superbikes ridden on both road and circuit. Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato Ready To Brake 19x19 radial brake master cylinder with the integrated micro-switch, fitted with a long folding lever and relieving eyelet (RST) in the colour selected, plus the matching mounting nut. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The fluid reservoir is not included and must be purchased separately.
