DescriptionThe whole story▼
The KTM 300 EXC is the two-stroke enduro many riders choose for hard trails, and in many countries it carries a number plate, so it is ridden on roads between the off-road sections. Accossato lists the AGPA29 front pad for the 300 EXC from 1993 to 2014 and again from 2018 to 2023. This listing is the Organic compound, suited to riders who use the bike a lot, like smooth, quiet brakes on cold mornings and want the front disc to last several seasons.
Key Features
- AGPA29 front pads for the KTM 300 EXC, 1993 to 2014 and 2018 to 2023
- Organic compound, SKU AGPA29OR
- Accossato promises long performance and minimal disc wear
- Smooth response from the first cold stop
- Quiet operation on road links between trails
- Also produced as ST, STMX and EV1
- No German ABE on file; for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Organic version as long-lasting and kind to the disc. For a 300 EXC ridden many hours a year, both claims translate into fewer workshop visits. The lining sits on the regular AGPA29 plate, which means the front caliper and its hardware stay exactly as KTM fitted them.
Trail Days and Road Links
A typical enduro day on a 300 EXC starts on tarmac, with cold pads and a cold disc, before turning onto a forest track. From there it may be hours of slow technical riding broken by short road sections. A pad that responds evenly from cold, stays quiet and wears the disc gently is a good companion for that mix. It will not suit a flat-out race pace, but it does make everyday trail riding more pleasant and cheaper to maintain.
Check the lining when you service the bike, clean the pistons before you push them back, and keep an eye on the brake fluid. After fitting, pump the lever until it is firm and bed in the pads gently.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA29 for the EXC 300 from 1993 to 2014, for the EXC 300 Enduro from 1999 to 2008 and for the EXC 300 TPI from 2018 to 2023. For 2015 to 2017 the brand names a different front pad; AGPA211 is also listed for 2015 to 2023, so check your bike. At the rear, AGPP80 and AGPP210 are listed, and discs DK017, DK018 and DK259 are available. The 300 EXC has one front caliper.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German test mark for AGPA29OR. The set is intended for off-road sport and competition.
