A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Groove width decides the thickness — the next size does not hold. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

05179-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 57 mm, dimension b 38 mm, dimension c 12 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05179-01

Category: Circlips

Dimension A: 57 mm

Dimension B: 38 mm

Dimension C: 12 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05179-01_b261a0b2-b4ec-4635-a60d-db28c6072adc.png?v=1788873886
