The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart.

Why the Original

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

05876-08 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states dimension a 36 mm, dimension b 80 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A soft reservoir usually means the bladder has failed rather than the gas has leaked. A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05876-08

Category: Reservoirs

Dimension A: 36 mm

Dimension B: 80 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05876-08_94dbc13a-fa25-46ef-906d-865cf26b3c5c.png?v=1788877120
