DescriptionThe whole story▼

Rocky climbs, rooty descents, deep sand and water crossings: a Yamaha YZ250 from 2021 to 2026 can be ridden hard across all of them. For that kind of use Accossato offers the AGPA288 front pad in its Off-road sintered compound, SKU AGPA288STMX. It is designed for riders who race or train on demanding dirt terrain, whether a motocross track in poor conditions or a hard trail, and who need a front pad built for dirt and water.

Key Features

  • STMX front pad for demanding dirt, SKU AGPA288STMX
  • Yamaha YZ250, 2021 to 2026
  • Made for rocks, roots, sand and water
  • For racing and hard trail riding
  • Front pad for dirt use
  • Two pads per box for the front caliper
  • Rear pad AGPP106 and discs DK111, DK168 listed

Construction and Material Quality

STMX is Accossato's compound for off-road riding, and on the 2021 to 2026 YZ250 it comes on the AGPA288 pad. Accossato's general claims include slow wear, reduced fade through controlled heat and strong stopping power. We add no material details and stay with the manufacturer's description.

Hard Terrain, Hard Use

On a steep, rocky descent the front brake of a YZ250 has to be precise: enough bite to control speed, but predictable enough not to lock the front on a wet rock. In sand or through water, dirt and grit reach the caliper constantly. The STMX pad is the compound for those conditions. After a hard day, clean the caliper, let it dry and check that the pistons move freely. For mixed weekends with less mud, the ST version of this pad is the more versatile choice. On rocky ground, also check the disc itself for knocks and bends, since a damaged disc will wear new pads unevenly.

Fitment and Compatibility

Model years 2021 to 2026 of the Yamaha YZ250 take AGPA288 at the front according to Accossato, and this STMX edition is aimed at dirt use. Earlier bikes from 2008 to 2021 use AGPA110; with 2021 in both entries, compare your old pads before ordering. One box covers the single front caliper. At the back, AGPP106 is listed for 2003 to 2026, also in STMX, and Accossato also names the discs DK111 and DK168. Clean grit from around the pistons before retracting them.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or test certificate in our records for this pad. It is sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
