DescriptionThe whole story▼

The F3 675 was the bike with which MV Agusta introduced its modern three-cylinder engine, complete with a counter-rotating crankshaft, and it was soon racing in the supersport class. For years the rules there allowed triples of this size to line up against 600 cc fours, and the F3 675 became a regular sight on national and club grids. Supersport is a class of small margins, where the fuel a bike carries can matter as much as a tenth found under braking. For the F3 675 of 2012 to 2020, Accossato lists the FC101, a quick-release fuel tank cap in CNC-machined aluminium, pin in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato mills the FC101 out of aluminium on CNC equipment, puts no second material into the body and calls the result robust and durable, with a new design. Thanks to the quick-closing pawl, the F3 675's filler can be opened and closed in a moment, which suits the short gaps between sessions at a race meeting. The pin on the pawl comes in whichever of the six colours you order. Should it be damaged, a replacement pawl is available on its own.

A Triple Among Fours

Racing a three-cylinder supersport bike against four-cylinder machines means learning where your bike is different. The F3 675 drives out of corners in its own way and asks for its own gearing and lines, and its riders spend practice working out where to gain and where to defend. Fuel strategy is part of that work. The race distance is fixed, and every rider wants to start with enough to finish plus a small margin, but no more, because extra fuel is extra weight. Many racers measure what the bike uses in practice, note it for each circuit and fill to that figure for the race. The FC101 makes the physical side of this quick: pawl open, measured amount in, pawl closed. The discipline lies in the measuring. Use the same can and the same method every time, write the numbers down, and do not change the plan in the final minutes before the race because of a rumour in the holding area.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the FC101 for the F3 675 from 2012 to 2020, including the special editions it names under that model, and we list the product for those years. The same cap appears with us for the F3 800 and the Brutale 675, and also for the Aprilia RS 660. Compare your F3 675 with the application list before ordering.

Road Approval

There is no German ABE and no parts certificate on record for the FC101, which makes it a part for racing and track days. On public roads, the F3 675 should keep its original cap; that cap normally needs the ignition key.
