Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 (2024–2026) PM293S

Husqvarna kept the name when the small Svartpilen was rebuilt for 2024, and that is where ordering service parts gets awkward. Sprint Filter did not stretch the old listing over the new bike; it opened a separate code, and PM293S is that code. Anyone shopping by model name alone has no way of seeing the break. Inside the standard airbox the element is dry woven polyester in place of the paper panel, sitting on the same mounting the factory filter uses.

Order by the number, not by the badge

A 2023 Svartpilen 125 and a 2024 one carry identical words on the tank and take different air filters. The catalogue is the plain evidence for that: had the airbox carried across, Sprint Filter would have added years to the entry that already existed rather than writing a fresh one. The useful question at a parts counter is therefore not which Svartpilen you own but which year it left the factory. From 2024 onward the answer is PM293S, and the machines built before that sit under their own separate code.

A redesigned bike with an empty shelf

The first owners of a reworked model find that most of what is sold under the name still belongs to the version before it. Filtration is one of the few areas available from day one, because an element is specified against a housing rather than styled around a motorcycle. Be clear about what that buys: an insert element does not make a standard machine noticeably quicker, and on an A1 bike the output ceiling is set by law long before the intake gets a vote. The offer is a restriction that starts low and holds there between services, in a part that is cleaned rather than bought again.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air aimed from the clean face outward is the whole routine most of the time. After a hard season, give it a wash in hand-warm water with a little mild detergent and keep rinsing until nothing more comes out of the weave.
