DescriptionThe whole story▼
Circuits keep tightening their noise limits, and Spark built this kit as the answer. Twin Dyno silencers on a titanium collector give 102 dB at 5,500 rpm with nothing fitted — and with the optional dB killers in place the reading drops below 100 dB. That is a number that gets you onto almost any European track.
Key Features
- Titanium collector with two Dyno silencers in the underseat position.
- 102 dB at 5,500 rpm without dB killers; below 100 dB with the optional dB killers fitted.
- 3.4 kg against 6.4 kg for the section it replaces — 3.0 kg saved.
- Dyno is Spark's sculpted case — the company calls it pure design, technology and precious details.
- Works with the original number plate holder and standard or closed racing bodywork.
- Panigale V4, V4 S, V4 R and Streetfighter V4.
Built Around a Number
Most exhausts are designed and then measured. This one was designed to hit a figure. Spark states the reason plainly: international circuits impose ever stricter decibel requirements, so the company introduced a version that reaches the track at maximum performance while staying within 102 dB at 5,500 rpm. The dB killers take it under 100 dB when a specific event demands it.
If you have ever been sent home by a noise meter, that combination — a race exhaust with a documented sub-100 dB configuration — is worth more than a few tenths of a second.
Build Quality & Materials
Titanium collector, twin Dyno silencers with carbon end caps. The Dyno case is the most heavily worked shape in Spark's catalogue; the company describes it as a piece of jewellery for the bike, which is marketing language for a case that costs more to form than a plain cylinder.
One care note from Spark that applies to all its cases: wash with water and rinse. No degreasers, no car-wash chemicals.
How the Numbers Are Taken
Two details matter when you compare decibel figures. The first is engine speed: Spark quotes 102 dB at 5,500 rpm, and a figure taken at a different rpm is not comparable. Most European static noise tests specify a speed derived from the engine's maximum power point, so ask which one your series uses before assuming a published number will clear it.
The second is the dB killer. It is a removable restrictor that sits in the outlet and trades a little flow for several decibels. Spark states this kit falls below 100 dB with them fitted — a meaningful margin at a circuit enforcing 100 dB, and the reason this is the kit to buy if your calendar includes tracks you have not measured at yet.
Installation
- ECU mapping is recommended.
- Compatible with the original fairings and with closed fairings for racing use.
- Compatible with the original licence plate holder.
- Not compatible with passenger footboards.
- The under-saddle lock is not accessible once fitted.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 R (2018-2024) plus the Streetfighter V4. Within this family it is the quiet option: the Grid-O kits read 105 dB, the lateral Grid-O 112 dB.
Road Approval
None — and the low decibel figure does not change that. There is no EC certificate and no catalytic converter; the number exists for scrutineering, not for registration.
