Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

21667-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Check dimension a 48 mm, dimension b 551 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21667-02

Category: Fork Parts

Dimension A: 48 mm

Dimension B: 551 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21667-02_1b2d8c27-1353-4809-a6a3-0118cef1f6f0.png?v=1788877641
