DescriptionThe whole story

The JP ES KIT06 clears the Z400's Clean Air System end to end, in one part number and one session.

Key Features

  • Kawasaki Z400 (2019–2023)
  • Both halves of the secondary air deletion
  • Solenoid eliminator and cylinder head cover
  • One part number, one fitting session
  • No drilling and no splicing
  • Every standard part refits afterwards

An Assist Clutch

Light at the lever and forgiving on a downshift. On a bike aimed at newer riders it removes one of the commonest ways to unsettle a motorcycle.

Fourteen Litres

The same tank as the Ninja, giving a genuine three hundred kilometres. The Z400 was never intended to be a weekend toy.

One Session

Both pieces live within a hand's width of each other and come into reach at the same moment. Buying them separately means paying for that reach a second time.

Half a Job Is Worse

Cover the head with the circuit live and the panel complains. Silence the circuit with the head open and a cracked reed still passes gas towards the filter.

Photograph Before Removing

Take pictures while everything is still connected. The routing under the tank is the part nobody remembers, and a phone in the garage answers the question that would otherwise cost an hour.

Where Both Halves Sit

One part is on the head, the other is a short distance above it beside the intake. Both come into view at the same moment, which is why they belong in one session.

Refit Before an Inspection

If somebody is going to look, the parts return in the time they took to come off and nothing has to be bought to make that possible.

Nothing About Power

The system operates only on a closed throttle, so removing it cannot free anything. The gains are noise, tidiness and reliability.

Cheap to Modify

Parts for the 400 platform are inexpensive and plentiful because Kawasaki sold so many, which means owners on limited budgets can do things properly rather than improvising. That shows in how these bikes are prepared.

An A2 Bike That Gets Ridden Hard

The 399 cc twin is limited by licence rather than by ambition, and Z400s spend a disproportionate amount of time at full throttle because that is where they make their power. Everything bolted to the engine works accordingly.
