DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato offers its AGPA38 front pad for the Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse of 2022 and 2023 in EV2 racing, a compound the company counts among its top competition mixtures. On a heavy bobber this is a pad for a specific purpose: a race-prepared machine at a cruiser racing event or a rider pushing hard in timed sessions. For everyday riding, the milder versions of the same pad are more appropriate.
Key Features
- Accossato AGPA38 in EV2 racing
- For the Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, 2022 to 2023
- Described by Accossato as a top racing compound
- For timed sessions and cruiser racing
- Designed for repeated hard stops
- Two pads for one caliper per box
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents EV2 as a leading racing compound without further details. For a heavy V-twin bobber on track, the brake must absorb large amounts of energy at every corner entry, and the pad has to keep biting as temperatures climb. EV2 is designed for that environment. The firm, based today in Villastellone near Turin, builds its pads with low wear and fade control through limited heating as general goals.
Timed Laps on a Bobber
Racing a Bobber Dark Horse is about making a heavy machine carry speed, which means braking precisely and consistently at each marker. A racing pad that holds its bite once hot is essential, as is a lever that stays in the same place session after session. Between runs, inspect pad thickness and disc condition, remove brake dust from the calipers, and keep a spare set in the toolbox. Bed in new pads on a steady lap before any timed attempt, and use the first few corners to learn how early the heavy bobber needs its brake point.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA38 for the front of the Chief Bobber Dark Horse, catalogued as Chief 1800 Bobber Dark Horse, in 2022 and 2023. For the rear, AGPA81 is listed for the same years. The box contains a set for one caliper; count the calipers at the front of your bike. Keep the discs clean and grease-free before track use.
Road Approval
We do not hold a German ABE or test report for this racing pad; Inter-Pace offers it for competition and circuit use only.
