DescriptionThe whole story▼
The XSR700 XTribute is a bike about details: its paint, handlebar and tyres were all chosen to recall the XT500 that Yamaha launched in the 1970s. Owners who bought it for that reason tend to look closely at every part they change. The ESY688 is Accossato's clutch lever for the XSR700 XTribute, listed for 2019 to 2022: machined from aluminium, fitted at the original clutch mounting, adjustable for reach and made with a black hub and a blade in one of seven colours.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Yamaha XSR700 XTribute, 2019 to 2022
- Replaces the original lever at the stock clutch mounting
- Reach to the grip adjustable
- Silver blade in standard or short length
- Gold, blue, orange and green in short, standard and long
- Black and red as standard blades of about 138 mm
- Machined aluminium, anodised, one fixed piece
Construction and Material Quality
The ESY688 is cut from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards, with the hub in black and the blade in the colour of your choice. It is a fixed lever: one rigid piece without a folding joint. That gives a firm, consistent feel at the fingers, and it is fair to mention the other side as well. Like the original part, a fixed lever can bend or break if the bike falls onto it, so for a bike that sees dirt roads, a spare in the garage is never a bad idea.
Details on a Tribute Bike
A tribute bike works when its details agree with each other, and the levers are details you see every time you ride. On the XSR700 XTribute, a silver blade stays close to the look of older machines, where bare or silver-coloured metal was the norm. Black keeps the cockpit quiet and lets the paintwork do the talking. Gold is the warmer choice and, next to the black hub, suggests competition parts without shouting; red or orange turn the lever into a deliberate accent. Whatever you choose, think in pairs: Accossato's brake lever for the XTribute comes in the same colours, so the two sides can match or contrast on purpose. Then set the reach, so that the lever which looks right also feels right, with the clutch biting where your fingers are strongest.
Fitment and Compatibility
The XSR 700 X Tribute appears in Accossato's list with the ESY688 for 2019 to 2022. The lever replaces the stock one at the XTribute's original clutch mounting. For the brake side there is the EDF016, listed for the same model years. The standard XSR700 is listed separately and has its own product pages in our shop.
Road Approval
This lever is intended for the track, since no German ABE has been documented for it.
