The housing does not know which machine it is in, so on the 800DE the inspection should follow the surface rather than the manual: a week of gravel asks more of an element than a month of motorway. The SM245S is a single layer of woven polyester, spun from threads of 22 microns and upwards, and it is serviced with compressed air alone — a compressor at any tyre shop or campsite will do. It then needs open air until dry through, heat and flame ruled out, and goes back in dry.
