DescriptionThe whole story▼
Touring riders on a Suzuki GSX-S1000F travel through all kinds of conditions: rain showers on the motorway, cold mountain passes and gravel-strewn hairpins. The rear brake helps keep the loaded bike steady on descents. AGPP88 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the GSX-S1000F from 2015 to 2023, suited to riders who travel with luggage or a passenger and want a rear brake that behaves the same in rain as in dry weather.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Suzuki GSX-S1000F, 2015 to 2023
- Sintered compound, SKU AGPP88ST
- High, constant grip across temperatures, per Accossato
- Grips well on wet roads
- For loaded touring and long descents
- Front pad AGPA106, disc DK251 listed
- One box covers the rear caliper
- Competition use; no German approval on file
Construction and Material Quality
In Accossato's words, Sintered keeps a high and steady grip level at low and high temperatures and grips well in the wet. At the rear of a touring bike, that means the pedal does not change feel between a cold morning start and a long descent. Accossato also mentions that the pads last well, limit heating and fade, and stop strongly.
Panniers and Mountain Passes
With full panniers and a passenger on a GSX-S1000F, a long descent puts real work on the brakes. Using the rear brake to scrub off speed before bends spreads the load and keeps the bike calm. When the road is wet from a passing shower, a rear pad that keeps its grip is reassuring. Check the pads and the rear disc before you set off on a tour, look at the fluid level, and replace pads that are getting thin rather than hoping they last the trip. New pads should be bedded in before any heavy descent. A short run of moderate stops on the first morning of the tour is usually enough.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP88 is listed for the GSX-S 1000 F, years 2015 to 2023. There is only one rear caliper on the bike, so one box does it. For the front, Accossato lists AGPA106, and DK251 is its disc for the model. Accossato also makes this rear pad in an Organic version.
Road Approval
We cannot supply an ABE or German test paperwork for AGPP88ST, so it is offered for motorsport use.
