DescriptionThe whole story▼

On the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE, the rear brake does quiet, useful work: it steadies the bike in slow traffic, helps on gravel car parks and holds the machine at junctions. Accossato's AGPP88 rear pad in the Organic mixture fits the Versys 1000 SE from 2019 to 2024, listed by the maker as the KLE 1000 Versys SE. It suits riders who commute on their big crossover, crawl through town and want a gentle, quiet rear pedal that is kind to the disc.

Key Features

  • AGPP88 rear pads for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE, 2019 to 2024
  • Organic mixture, article AGPP88OR
  • Accossato: long service and little disc wear
  • Soft, easily dosed pedal for walking-pace manoeuvres
  • Runs quietly in stop-and-go traffic
  • Works from the first cold application
  • Also sold on this plate as ST
  • No German approval papers held; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's point about this mixture is twofold: it keeps performing for a long time, and it treats the disc gently. For a rear brake that gets plenty of light use in town, that is a sensible pairing, since the pedal is pressed often but rarely hard. The maker also notes that its pads keep temperatures moderate, which helps against fade, and that they still stop firmly. The Organic material sits on the regular AGPP88 plate.

Town Duty for a Tall Bike

A high, heavy machine is at its most awkward at walking pace, filtering between cars or turning in a narrow street. Here the rear brake is the rider's friend, used lightly to settle the chassis while the throttle stays open. An Organic pad makes that delicate work easy, with a smooth take-up and very little noise when the bike creeps along.

Rear calipers collect road dirt, so clean the area around the pistons whenever you change pads. Keep the disc free of chain lube and cleaning spray, and after refitting press the pedal several times until it firms up.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP88 is catalogued by Accossato for the rear of the KLE 1000 Versys SE, 2019 to 2024, which is the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE in our garage list. The front pad for the same years is AGPA109. No Accossato disc is listed. The box holds one set for a single rear caliper; compare the outline with your old pads before fitting.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or approval mark for AGPP88OR in our hands, so it is supplied for competition purposes.

Scope of Delivery

Two Organic rear pads in one box.
