DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Brutale 800 RR of 2021 to 2025 is the sharpest version of MV Agusta's three-cylinder naked bike, with a colour display, a comprehensive electronics package and a riding position that invites you to lean over the tank and attack a corner. Its owners often ride on track in the same kit they wear on the road, and they take their helmet off in the paddock a dozen times a day. Where that helmet ends up while the tank is open deserves some thought. Accossato's cap for the Brutale 800 RR is the FC101, quick-release and machined from aluminium.

Key Features

  • Quick-release fuel tank cap for the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR, 2021 to 2025
  • Made entirely of aluminium, machined by CNC
  • Quick-closing pawl
  • Pin available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
  • Pawl replaceable individually
  • New design, robust and durable according to Accossato
  • No German ABE documented; for circuit use

Construction and Material Quality

The FC101 is cut from aluminium by CNC machines, and no other material goes into its body; Accossato rates the cap as robust and durable, and the styling is new. Its closure is a quick-closing pawl that opens the Brutale 800 RR's filler briskly and closes it again just as briskly. The pin on that pawl can be had in six colours. Accossato sells the pawl separately too, so damage to it never means a new cap.

Where the Helmet Goes While You Refuel

On a naked bike the tank is the natural place to set a helmet down, and a mirror is the natural place to hang it. During refuelling, neither is a good idea. Helmet makers warn that fuel and solvents can damage shells, paint and visors, and a single splash from the can or a drip from the filler can leave marks that do not always show at once. Fuel vapour collecting inside the lining is unpleasant too. So before you open the FC101 on the Brutale 800 RR, put the helmet well away from the bike: on a bench, in the van or on a chair under the awning, visor closed. Do the same with your gloves, which soak up fuel and then carry the smell onto the grips and your hands for the rest of the day. Refuel with the engine off, close the cap, wipe the tank, and only then pick up the helmet again. It is a small habit, and it protects kit that costs far more than any tank cap.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the Brutale 800 RR of 2021 to 2025 with the FC101, and this product follows those years; the list's RR entry begins with 2021. The same cap is listed with us for the Brutale 800 and the F3 800, and for the KTM 690 Duke. Check your RR's model year against the application list before ordering.

Road Approval

The FC101 has no German ABE and no parts certificate on record, so it belongs on the circuit. For the road, the Brutale 800 RR's own cap, normally opened with the ignition key, is the right one.
