DescriptionThe whole story▼
Kawasaki built the Z800e for riders with an A2 licence, giving them the look and the four-cylinder character of the Z800 in a form they were allowed to ride. For many, it was the bike on which they first thought about a circuit. The choice of that first track day matters more than any accessory, because a good organiser makes the day safe and instructive, while a poor one can put a newcomer off for years. For the Z800e of 2013 to 2016, Accossato lists the FC113, a quick-release cap for the tank, cut from aluminium on CNC machines, with a pawl pin in six colours to choose from.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Z800e, 2013 to 2016

- Entirely CNC-machined aluminium, robust and durable according to Accossato
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl available separately
- No German ABE documented; for the circuit
Construction and Material Quality
Aluminium machined on CNC equipment makes up the whole FC113, and Accossato calls the cap robust and built to last. Its design is new. Opening and closing are handled by a quick-closing pawl, so the Z800e's tank stands open only briefly when you refuel. The pin of that pawl comes in six colours, chosen at the time of ordering. If the pawl gets damaged, it is available on its own as a spare, and the rest of the cap stays where it is.
Choosing the First Organiser
Track-day organisers differ a great deal. Look for one that divides riders into groups by pace and has a clearly defined group for beginners, ideally with instructors who ride with it and talk to riders between sessions. Ask how many bikes share the track in each session, whether there is a technical check in the morning and how noise limits are handled. Read reviews and ask around, because riders who have been before will tell you honestly how the day was run. A good organiser also explains the paddock rules, including where and how to refuel, before the first session, rather than leaving newcomers to find out from a marshal. On the Z800e, arrive with a well-prepared bike and a full set of protective kit, fit the FC113 with the engine cold, and then concentrate on learning rather than on lap times. The pace comes with practice, and a calm first day is worth more than a fast one.
Fitment and Compatibility
Three entries on Accossato's list refer to this bike: the Z 800 E from 2013 to 2016, the same version with ABS, and the Z 800 E Special Edition of 2016. This product covers all three. We carry the same cap for the standard Z800 too. Look at your bike's papers and the list side by side before ordering.
Road Approval
The FC113 has no German ABE and no parts certificate on record and is therefore meant for track use. For road riding the Z800e keeps its original cap, which usually locks with the ignition key.
