DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some owners of a 2015 to 2017 Zero S enjoy the instant torque on fast country roads and want brakes that match their pace. For them Accossato makes the AGPA92 front pad in EV1 street/track compound. It is intended for ambitious road riding and occasional amateur circuit days, giving a sharper bite than an everyday pad while remaining usable on a normal ride.
Key Features
- AGPA92 front set for the Zero S 2015-2017
- ZF9.4, ZF12.5, ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 per Accossato
- EV1 street/track compound
- Strong grip for road and amateur circuit, according to Accossato
- Precise, direct lever response
- This pad also comes as OR, ST, EV2, ZXC
- Two pads for one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its EV1 mixture provides excellent grip for street riding and for amateur track use. The compound is designed to work well without race-level temperatures, yet to cope with the heat of repeated hard stops during a trackday session. The company's aims of slow wear and controlled heat build-up apply too, reducing fade when the brakes are worked hard.
Country Roads and a Trackday Debut
On a winding country road, the Zero S rewards smooth, precise riding. An EV1 pad lets you brake firmly into a bend and release the lever gradually as you lean in. If you decide to try an open trackday, prepare the bike carefully: fresh brake fluid, pads with plenty of material left and a clean disc. Build your braking pressure step by step through the sessions rather than attacking the first corner. After the day, the same EV1 pads work normally on the road home. Riders who start competing regularly usually move on to the EV2 or ZXC racing mixes. Until then, EV1 covers both worlds, and on an older S it is a simple upgrade that changes the character of the front end without making the bike awkward in town.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA92 for the front of the Zero S ZF9.4 and ZF12.5 from 2015 and the ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 from 2016 to 2017. The 2024 S ZF14.4 takes AGPA96 at the front. Rear pads for the S are AGPP91. Change both front pads at once, bed them in with progressively firmer stops and pump the lever before moving off.
Road Approval
Without an ABE or other approval documents available to us, we sell these pads for racing and competition use.
