DescriptionThe whole story▼
A small twin on a twisty road can be enormous fun, and many young Suzuki DL250 V-Strom owners discover that on their first summer of riding. Some even try a track day for small bikes. For them, Accossato lists front pad AGPA72 for the DL250 V-Strom from 2017 to 2023 in the EV1 street/track compound, which gives a firmer, quicker bite than a touring pad while remaining usable on the road.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA72 for the Suzuki DL250 V-Strom, 2017 to 2023
- EV1 street/track compound, article number AGPA72EV1
- Accossato: excellent grip for road riding and amateur track use
- More direct bite for spirited riding
- Suits small-bike track days
- Still works on the ride home
- OR, ST and EV2 are also offered
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as giving excellent grip on the road and during amateur track outings. On a light bike like the DL250, riders often carry more corner speed and brake later than they would on a heavy machine, and a compound with a crisper response suits that. Accossato adds low wear, restrained heating and strong stopping to the list.
Small Bike, Big Smile
Low power teaches good technique: to go fast on a DL250 V-Strom, you have to keep your speed through the corners and brake precisely. A street/track pad helps by giving a firm, predictable bite when the rider squeezes the lever hard.
Track days for small-capacity bikes are a safe place to learn those skills. Before going, check the pads, bleed the brakes with fresh fluid and remove the luggage rack if the organiser asks.
Afterwards, the EV1 pads still work fine on the road, so there is no need to swap them for the ride home.
Many riders who start on a DL250 later move to bigger bikes. The braking habits learned on a light twin, squeezing progressively and looking far ahead, stay with them.
Fitment and Compatibility
Every DL250 V-Strom from the 2017 model year through 2023 is covered by AGPA72 in Accossato's list, and the back wheel takes AGPP88. The little Suzuki carries one disc up front, so a single box does it. Before a track day, give yourself time to swap the pads at home rather than in the paddock: wipe the piston, ease it back, seat the new pair and squeeze the lever until it stops travelling.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or German approval for this compound. It is sold for track and competition use.
