DescriptionThe whole story▼
The 2017 and 2018 RSV4 RF with a left-hand switch block cut from a single block of Ergal 7075.

- Complete street control set on the left
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Black or titanium anodising
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
The RF After the Update
Aprilia carried the RF badge into the revised generation with Öhlins suspension and forged wheels over the new 201 hp engine. It remained the higher of the two specifications and it kept the numbered-batch treatment.
The Airbox Inside the Frame
The V4's airbox sits within the twin spars, fed by ducts through the fairing nose. It is one reason the motorcycle is as narrow as it is, and it is invisible unless the tank comes off.
Which Block, Which Year
The RF suffix on this part number refers to the control layout, not to the RF model. It fits the 2017 and 2018 machines; anything earlier takes the other version, whichever badge is on the tail.
Gloves and Geometry
A switch is found by feel long before it is found by sight, and on a superbike the rider's eyes have somewhere else to be. Defined edges and honest travel are worth more than a printed legend ever was.
Milled and Sealed
One billet, with military-specification elements enclosed inside it. Nothing clips together, so nothing loses tension under the particular vibration a 65 degree V4 sends through a set of clip-ons.
Two Anodised Finishes
Black and titanium, converted into the aluminium rather than sprayed over it. A low-speed drop dulls the surface rather than exposing bright metal through a chipped coating.
Straight Onto the Loom
Pre-wired to the motorcycle's own plug, so the job is two fasteners and one connector with nothing to reset afterwards.
Numbered Batches, Firmer Values
The RF was sold in defined runs with a plate on the yoke rather than as an open model. That has held its second-hand value noticeably better than the RR's, and owners of the ones that survive tend to spend on them accordingly.
