DescriptionThe whole story▼
Both gains sit at exactly 5,700 rpm — 0.9 PS and 1.3 Nm. Honda's 755 cc parallel twin in the Transalp is tuned for usable midrange rather than a headline peak, and Akrapovic tuned this silencer to the same part of the curve rather than fighting the engine's character.
Key Features
- 2.41 kg against the standard 4.0 kg: 1.6 kg and 39.8 per cent less
- 0.9 PS (0.7 kW) and 1.3 Nm, both at 5,700 rpm
- Black-coated titanium outer sleeve with a newly designed titanium end cap — and a titanium bracket, which is unusual
- Stainless steel link pipe and muffler inner structure
- Fully compatible with the original Honda side panniers
- Euro 5, EC and ECE type approved, plug-and-play with no remapping
- Fits the standard Transalp and the E-Clutch version
Even the Bracket Is Titanium
Most silencers hang on a steel bracket, because it is cheap and nobody sees it. On this system the bracket is titanium as well as the sleeve and the end cap. It is a small part and it contributes a small share of the 1.6 kg, but it is the kind of detail that separates a system engineered for a specific motorcycle from one adapted to it.
The inner structure and the link pipe stay stainless steel, where heat cycling and vibration are worst. That mix is deliberate rather than a compromise.
Midrange, Because That Is the Bike
The Transalp makes 92 PS and weighs 208 kg — it is not a performance machine and Honda never claimed it was. It is bought to ride long distances on mixed surfaces, and the useful part of its rev range is between four and six thousand.
Akrapovic names throttle response and rideability as the development targets and reports gains in the mid and high ranges. 1.3 Nm at 5,700 rpm is a modest number honestly placed, and it is worth more here than a larger figure at a speed a loaded Transalp rarely reaches.
The Panniers Fit
Honda's own side cases are the accessory most Transalp owners add, and the silencer sits directly beside the right-hand mount. This system is dimensioned around them — nothing comes off to make it fit.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-H7SO6-HRTBL covers the Honda XL750 Transalp and the Transalp E-Clutch from model year 2023 through 2026. The E-Clutch version shares the engine, the frame and the exhaust routing.
Road Approval
EC type approval and ECE type approval to Euro 5, with the certificates supplied and downloadable here. The silencer is a legal replacement part for road use in the European Union.
