DescriptionThe whole story▼
Long days on an SWM RS 500 R often involve changes in weather and terrain, such as rain on a mountain road, damp gravel in the forest and a cold ride home in the evening. Accossato lists rear pad AGPP80 for the RS 500 R from 2015 to 2020, and this version uses the Sintered compound. It is designed for riders who use the bike all year round and in mixed conditions, and who need the rear brake to respond reliably, whether the disc is wet or dry.
Key Features
- AGPP80 rear pads for the SWM RS 500 R, 2015 to 2020
- Sintered compound, SKU AGPP80ST
- Accossato: high, constant grip when hot or cold
- Quick response on a wet disc
- Even pedal on tarmac and gravel
- For all-season dual-sport riding
- OR and STMX are also available
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that the Sintered pads maintain a high and consistent level of grip at all temperatures and perform well in wet conditions. On the rear of an RS 500 R used in changing weather, this makes the pedal a reliable tool rather than a gamble. Accossato also aims for long service life, limited fading and strong stopping power.
Rain, Forest Gravel and Cold Evenings
On a wet forest road, the rear brake of the RS 500 R helps to keep the bike stable when slowing down. A Sintered pad provides a consistent bite, whether the disc is wet or dry, so the rider can apply the pedal with confidence.
The compound behaves evenly as it heats up, even during long descents on gravel.
Caring for the Rear Brake
The rear caliper is exposed to spray, mud and road salt. Rinse it after rides in poor weather, check the pads for even wear, and replace the brake fluid at the intervals recommended by SWM.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP80 appears in Accossato's catalogue as the rear pad for the SWM RS 500 R throughout its 2015 to 2020 model years, while AGPA29 covers the front. Always replace both rear pads together, measure the disc, and press the pedal a few times after fitting until you feel firm resistance.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval document for this pad in our files. It is sold for competition purposes.
Scope of Delivery
